Component I

To Conduct an independent assessment of accounting and auditing and develop a Country Action Plan

The report on the Observance of Standards and Codes (ROSC) program and the Country Action Plan have been completed.

Component II

Raise the level of Implementation and application of IFRS and ISA

This component comprises the following Consultancies, both of which have been awarded to ACCA:

•  Training Needs Assessment and Curricular Design

The final report on this Consultancy has been received and accepted by The Project Steering

•  Development of Technical Information as Implementation Tools

Component III

Strengthen the enforcement capabilities to monitor and ensure compliance with IFRS and ISA

Consultants are currently being evaluated with the projected start date being August 2006.

Component IV

Sustain the Implementation of IFRS and ISA

The following Consultancies have been identified as critical to the achievement of this component:

•  Members Needs Assessment

This Consultancy has been awarded to ACCA. At present, arrangements are being made to have the Technical Supervisors and the Consultant meet to develop the specific guidelines which will govern the expected outcome of this task.

•  Strategic Plan

Responses for Technical and Financial Proposals have been received for this Consultancy with the Evaluation process scheduled to be completed by December 2006.
