  • Attended Bishop Anstey High School, Port of Spain
     
  • Graduated from University of Toronto with Bachelor of Commerce degree
     
  • Joined Price Waterhouse, now PricewaterhouseCoopers,Toronto in 1968 and graduated as Canadian chartered accountant
     
  • Joined Price Waterhouse, now PricewaterhouseCoopers, Trinidad in January 1973 and retired as a partner in 1997 - the first female partner of an International firm of accountants in Trinidad and one of 3 women partners worldwide at the time when she became a partner
     

Present appointments:

  • Financial Services Ombudsman for Trinidad and Tobago since May 2005; previously Banking Services Ombudsman from May 2003
     
  • Trustee of the Anglican Church of Trinidad and Tobago and Chairman of the Finance Board and Buildings and Lands Committee
     
  • Chairman of the Board of Management of Bishop Anstey High School and of the Vision 2000 Fundraising Committee; Member of the Building Committee.
     
  • Member of the Board of the Ansa Mc Al Foundation

  • Awarded the National Chaconia Silver medal for business in August 1999
     
  • Chairman of The Trinidad and Tobago Unit Trust Corporation from August 1997 to 2002
     
  • Appointed by Cabinet in 1989 as Chairman of Committee for Company Law Reform for Trinidad and Tobago, resulting in the enactment of The Companies Act, 1995 in April 1997.
     
  • Member of the Board of Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago from 1987 to 1993 and Chairman of the Audit Committee.
     
  • Member of the Board of the Deposit Insurance Corporation and of the Investment Committee from 1988 to 1993.
     
  • Member of the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago from 1983 to 1994; past Chairman of the Education and Legislation Committees.
