ICATT celebrates 40th Anniversary in style
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago (ICATT) celebrated its 40th Anniversary in fine style recently by hosting a One and A Half Day Seminar under the theme, Governance and Transparency: Back to Basics at the HYATT Regency in Port of Spain with over 200 participants. The event attracted International, Regional and local presenters and culminated with a Gala Banquet Celebration with over 300 guests hosted by ICATT's President, Anthony Pierre, where four persons were honoured for their contributions to the Institute and the development of Trinidad and Tobago in various capacities. They are Mr. Bernard Dulal-Whiteway, ICATT Member and Business Pioneer (posthumous honour); Mr. Herman Marcano Sr., ICATT Member and local Accountancy educator pioneer (posthumous honour); Mrs. Angela Lee Loy, a former Past President of ICATT, first woman president of ICATT and NACC Chairperson; Mr. Ramganie Bob Gopee, Former council member of ICATT and founder of the Bob Gopee Foundation. ICATT remains committed to its mandate of the regulation and development of the local accountancy profession.

ICATT ACCOUNTANTS HAVE FUN AT FIRST EVER FAMILY FUN DAY

Accountants, finance professionals, students and their families braved the rains recently to come out and be part of ICATT’s Fun Day at WASA Sports Grounds, St. Joseph. Over 300 persons were in attendance for the day’s activities ranging from windball cricket, all fours, fun race events & karaoke. Competitors included Ernst & Young, KPMG, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Omardeen’s School of Accountancy, SAC & WASA. WASA was the day’s main winner as they captured the All Fours, Cricket & Karaoke titles. Anthony Pierre, ICATT’s President said, ‘I’m glad that we were able to come together as a family in an informal setting and have fun together. It is certainly one major highlight of my presidency thus far.’
