Dear Member,
In accordance with the Rules and Regulations of ICATT, (Rule 10 - Annual General Meeting and Regulations 7 – Virtual General Meetings),
the Fifty-Sixth (56th) Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Trinidad and Tobago (ICATT)
will be held on Thursday March 26, 2026, at 5.00 p.m. on a virtual platform whereby members may attend and participate in the meeting
to transact the following business:
ORDINARY BUSINESS
- To receive and consider the Annual Report of the Council for the 2025/2026 term.
- To receive and adopt the Financial Statements of the Institute for the year ended December 31, 2025, with the Auditor’s Report thereon.
- To appoint the Auditors for the year ending December 31, 2026. The Council proposes to re-appoint Aegis Business Solutions Limited as Auditors of the Institute to hold office until the close of the next Annual General Meeting of ICATT.
- To elect members of the Council.
Members are asked to consider the following members to fill five (5) vacant seats on the Council:
- Arun Seenath
- Desmond Dial
- Nalini Suratsingh
- Renée-Lisa Philip
- Shivanan Deopersad
At the 56th Annual General Meeting, Arun Seenath, Dinesh Bhola, Demond Dial and Reneé-Lisa Phillip are due to retire from the Council of ICATT by rotation.
Mr. Seenath, Mr. Dial and Mrs. Phillip are eligible and have offered themselves for re-election.
Mr. Bhola, having served nine (9) years, cannot offer himself up for re-election.
Shivanan Deopersad was appointed to fill a casual vacancy arising from the resignation of Tamara Sieuraj; and as such, he must retire at this Annual General Meeting.
Two nominations in respect of qualified members proposed as nominees to the Council of ICATT were received on behalf of Shivanan Deopersad and Nalini Suratsingh.
As such, Members are required to elect to the Council of ICATT Five (5) persons from those members of Council eligible for re-election together with the proposed nominees.
INSTRUCTIONS TO ATTEND AND VOTE AT THE AGM
1. Registration to Attend the AGM
Financial Members must pre-register to attend the AGM via the designated virtual platform.
Registration opens: March 4, 2026
Registration closes: March 26, 2026, at 4:30 p.m.
Members are encouraged to register early.
2. Electronic Voting Prior to the AGM
Electronic voting on the AGM resolutions may be undertaken during the following period:
Opening: March 4, 2026
Closing: 12:00 noon on March 24, 2026
Members who cast their vote during this period will not be able to vote again at the AGM.
3. Voting During the AGM
Financial Members who are unable to vote electronically prior to the AGM may vote during the AGM on March 26, 2026,
provided that they are logged into the virtual AGM platform at the time voting is announced.
When voting is declared open during the meeting, members will be able to cast their vote using their unique secure link.
4. Voting Entitlement & Process
Each Financial Member is entitled to one vote only, either before or during the AGM.
To Vote:
- Click the AGM tab on your Member profile.
- Select “For” or “Against.”
- Verify and click “Submit.”
